Thanks for the wonderful service your company and bus driver Dave offered us on the 12 September 2024. I thank you for being understanding with the changing of dates due to tangihanga and commend Dave on his knowledge and contribution to our field trip. Below I’ve included just one student’s mention of Dave’s contribution in a self-reflection assignment. We all valued and appreciated having Dave as our driver.

“The bus driver, Dave, was instrumental in making sure the travel to the Whangamarino Paa site and other destinations was safe and on time. He made sure the group got at each location on time, providing ample time for meaningful involvement and thought. His effort extended beyond simply driving. His familiarity with the routes and customs of the local populace ensured a comfortable travel, allowing the group to concentrate on the importance of the ancestral landscapes.”
